All sensitive information, especially credit card numbers, are passed directly to our Credit Card Processor, Authorize.Net, via a secure Payment Gateway link.

We use a 128-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encrypted connection for receiving our customers' sensitive information, and also for passing it to the Payment Gateway. To verify this, the browser should display a lock icon when starting the checkout process. All sensitive information should be entered on a page displaying this lock icon, and an address beginning with https://www.logicofenglish.com. Ordering from The Logic of English Store using a credit card is actually safer than using a credit card at a restaurant, because no one but the customer and the credit card processor touches or sees the card info.

The SSL connection ensures that sensitive data is encrypted and unreadable by any potential interceptors on the Internet. 

The rest of The Logic of English website does not use an SSL connection, since the information is not sensitive and is freely available. Not using SSL helps keep the web connection as fast as possible. The connection will change to an SSL encrypted connection only when a customer begins the checkout process.
